Why are some of the Windows Apps no longer monitored after upgrading to version 5.2.0.8?

Endpoint Protector 5.2.0.8 brings several new features, improvements and bug fixes. The full list of the Release Notes can be found here.

Changes include a better granularity for Windows Apps. This means that the Windows Apps checkbox from withing the Content Aware Protection Policies has been removed and, all the apps have been individually added in their specific sections (e.g.: Edge has been added under the Web Browsers section.

Among others, the applications that can now be granularly controlled include: Edge, Skype, Windows Mail, Facebook Messenger, OneDrive, WhatsApp Desktop, Dropbox and Evernote.

If a particular app, previously controlled by the Windows Apps functionality cannot be found in list of applications, please contact out Support Team.
