Why does auto configuration (default setting) generally set "Wi-Fi" to "Allow Access"? (Discontinued)
This default setting is needed in order for the computers to communicate with the Endpoint Protector or My Endpoint Protector Server. The “Wi-Fi” functionality is generally set to “Allow Access” in cases wired network is not present, as the Client computer needs to communicate with the Server. You can change this setting to "Deny Access" anytime.
Similar to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth is also set by default to “Allow Access” in case a wireless mouse or keyboard is used during the installation process.
